I have lived in Shepherdstown since 1970 and thought I would live the rest of my days here. But i like and need to breathe clean air. A colleague of mine thought he and his wife would retire here but I had to warn them about the looming Rockwool pollution. This greedy move will ruin the economy and future of Jefferson County in the long run if this is not stopped. Thousands of taxpayers and shoppers will move out or not move here at all. I just moved to Kearneysville, West Virginia from New Bedford, MA. I absolutely love it here. it is beautiful. I planned on staying here and renting and eventually buying a home here. When my family and friends told me about Rockwool, I was horrified. Upon researching Rockwool for myself, I am disgusted. How can this happen, here? Why?? I am very concerned about the pollution that Rockwool will create, the effect on the environment. I worry about my family, my friends and myself breathing the polluted air. If Rockwell comes to Kearneysville, I will have to move, and I really love it here. It is such a shame.REPORT COMMENTS
