My husband and I recently visited Shepardstown and were horrified to learn of the Rockwool plans. How can this possibly be happening in 2019?? Haven't we learned anything? If you wouldn't let your child LIVE or go to SCHOOL near the rockwool plant, then don't expect others to do the same.REPORT COMMENTS

This proposed Rockwool factory doesn't belong here or anywhere on this planet! It isn't even planning to install the best available bags in its very problematic baghouse, let alone the much better high efficiency wet scrubber for its giant and totally unnecessary coal-fired melt furnace! It is totally unnecessary because Rockwool has a much cleaner and much more efficient electric arc furnace. And don't even get me started on how totally unnecessary the insulation batting product is! There are so many better insulation batting alternatives. Shame on Rockwool for its terribly misleading greenwashing! And shame on the WV officials giving away our tax dollars to this heavy polluting factory!REPORT COMMENTS
