I don't want this toxic stuff near my kids! My oldest attends the school right across from where they want to put Rockwool. I am totally against it. We also live close by, within the ten mile range! It's very scary to think about. I've lived in Jefferson county all of my life, Charles Town specifically. I don't want my town polluted like this. -

I have very strong concerns being just a mere 1/2 mile as the crow flies from this plant and learning of the possible deadly pollution fallout I might be under even if it's an emergency discharge. The possibilities of this to my family and young grandson we are raising is too much of a real threat to just provide a 150 jobs to the area. Sorry but if it is even a remote possibility it can't happen in my back yard, put the factory in the empty parts of Ranson and see if they are so eager for it to be built.REPORT COMMENTS

It is unacceptable to put this community at risk for so many public health and environmental hazards by allowing the Rockwool plant to be built. The fact that its location directly threatens children, whose exposure to neurotoxins and asthma-causing pollution is even more damaging, is an additional outrage, and should be enough to force a review of its permit.REPORT COMMENTS
