This is awful. I lived in Washington, D.C. for 20 years and spend a lot of time in Eastern West Virginia, and my best friend has been a public hospital nurse for more than 30 years in Huntington, which of course is on the other side of the state. I love those mountains and valleys, hills and hollers, and it makes me sick how much toxic industry has been allowed into the state starting with coal mining, and all the chemical plants on the Kanawha River and elsewhere, and now this? I support a bunch of local small businesses in West Virginia including Cool Hollow Maple Farm in Sugar Grove and J.Q. Dickinson Salt Company in Malden in the hope I can make a tiny contribution to transitioning the economy from this kind of toxic bullshit, which takes unfair advantage of the people of West Virginia and destroys the state's amazing ecosystems -- and is frankly disgusting.REPORT COMMENTS

This factory will release formldehyde, arsenic, lead, mercury, sulphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, chromium, and many other toxins into our aquifers, streams and air. This will affect many regions, but particularly Jefferson County farms and animals, and has the potential to affect both our health and livelihood. Our land, air and streams will be polluted for generations, while profits will go to a foreign entity.
